I have wanted to start a blog for a very long time. There were false starts in the early 2000s but the impending 10 week adventure around Europe for the first time has finally put my butt in gear. If you would like to read a little more about my life, please visit my About Me section.
With 10 weeks in Europe there comes a lot of organising, a lot of countries and sites to tick off the bucket list as well as some big memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. While this crazy cat lady will miss her two furry friends while they stay at the grandparents, I get to do this with my best friend and husband Cal. We have been together since we were 17 (cue the ‘Awww’) and have gone overseas together twice but not nearly as long as our upcoming European frolicking. I will be sharing our adventures in the travel section from Ireland to Greece and a lot of countries in-between, attempting to improve my amateur photography skills with a pretty good SLR (I’m one of those annoying travellers) and eating my weight in local delicacies.
However this site won’t just be for overseas travel but also for other nagging thoughts and so-called wisdom I have received over the span of a quarter of a century. You might see some different layouts here and there as I add content and discover what works best for me, but everyone is welcome to come along on this journey we call life with me.
See you on the flip side,
*The photo above was taken during a rural road trip to Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo last year. I recommend doing the Zoofari Lodge overnight stay. So many behind the scenes action and you get to sleep in a cabin and wake up to lions roaring and giraffes handing out just outside your door!
